14-Year-Old Charged
After Halifax Shopping Centre Robbery

According to police, staff at Zumiez took proactive steps to address a situation where a 14-year-old youth allegedly took approximately $400 worth of merchandise, and in the process, reportedly used a sensory irritant on several security guards.
The youth was arrested and held to appear in Halifax Provincial Court.
Police say the youth faces five counts of assault with a weapon, along with charges of robbery, possession of a prohibited weapon, disguise with intent, and uttering threats.
Halifax Regional Police demonstrated their dedication to community safety by responding to 811 calls for service over the weekend, addressing a range of incidents that showcased their commitment to protecting and serving the public.
Another notable incident:
On August 15th, at approximately 10:05 am, officers responded promptly to multiple reports of a man threatening people with a hammer in the trail system at Long Lake Provincial Park in Spryfield, and successfully apprehended him without incident. Turned out to be another busy weekend for HRP.
